Share your ideas! : Survey Report for 01 March 2017 to 09 September 2020
money.
Screen Name Redacted Raised concrete that looks like various mountains (14ers?). Each island
8/26'2020 10:47 AAA becomes a different mountain site, like looking at it from above in 3D.
Screen Name Redacted Too much time & money is being spent on the crosswalks -the red, the green,
the additional cement,.. They are crosswalks -they do not need to be fun, they
need to be functional. People currently do not use the lights at Cherry, East
of Dahlia.
Screen Name Redacted one would be to put animal shapes in the wells and then fill with transparent
8/26/2020 12:50 PM acrylic: a street side aquarium. Another is to pave or level out and then
provide drawing materials (chalk) so that the art can be done from the
sidewalk side and changing
Screen Name Redacted Don't install anything that hides children at the crosswalks. The crossings on
8/26/2020 01:14 PM Polk are already so excessively narrow that drivers stare at the curbs and
posts, instead of looking for pedestrians. Don't make it worse by obstructing
visibility.
Screen Name Redacted I'd love to see positive messages encouraging people to behave in ways that
8/26/2020 02:54 PK/i support the community (people and economy). For instance, "Wearing masks
is an act of love," with colorful and emotion -lifting images (rainbows, smiling
faces, etc.)
Screen Name Redacted Paint the cement in bright, fluorescent colors. Nothing to distract drivers.
8/26/2020 04:44 PM Solar lights.
Screen Name Redacted Create an adopt a walk program so specific groups could add their own flair.
8/27/2020 05:31 AM I would paint mine with a quote of the month. Or maybe with a monthly
equation and physics lesson. Or... under trying times... a message of protest.
Screen Name Redacted I would love to soften the feel of concrete, it is sterile... painting concrete can
8/27/2020 07:38 AM be a distraction to me as a driver . I would like to see flowers and perennal
grasses. the maintenence could be from 'adopt a garden' from community
groups and volunteers
Screen Name Redacted I am not really that supportive of spending tax dollars to add complexity that
8/27/2020 10:46 AM will cost more to install, and certainly to maintain.
Screen Name Redacted We have two separate ideas. My daughter recommends that a crosswalk is
-' painted with a purple background color and large pink and white polka dots
of varying size in the foreground. My idea for a different crosswalk is to install
a sundial.
Screen Name Redacted I like the idea of tiling the intersection bump outs using non -slick tiles created
8/27/2020 0 _ by artists. We could pick a couple of intersections with the most traffic to
highlight with these tiles. The rest could be stamped, etched, etc.
Screen Name Redacted I just absolutely adore the new Mira on the old Library building. Notable
8/27/2020 06:03 PM leaders working toward peace and justice. We are not a very ethnically
Page 17 of 32
