Louisville, CO Code of Ordinances <br />9/25/20, 2:06 PM <br />Chapter 5.06 - SOLICITORS AND VENDORS <br />Footnotes: <br />--- (1) --- <br />Editor's note— Ord. No. 1759-2018, § 1, adopted June 5, 2018, repealed the former Ch. 5.06, §§ 5.06.010- <br />5.06.070, and enacted a new chapter as set out herein. The former Ch. 5.06 pertained to peddlers, solicitors and <br />vendors and derived from Ord. No. 1481-2005, § 1, adopted Dec. 6, 2005. <br />Sec. 5.06.010. - Purpose of provisions. <br />The purpose of this chapter is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens and residents <br />of the city through regulation and appropriate prohibitions of certain activities of solicitors and vendors. <br />(Ord. No. 1759-2018, § 1, 6-5-2018) <br />Sec. 5.06.020. - All solicitations prohibited by posting of "No Solicitation" or "No Trespassing" sign. <br />No person shall enter or remain upon any public or private premises or in any office building in the <br />city, not having been requested or invited by the occupant thereof, for the purpose of soliciting the <br />immediate or future purchase or sale of goods, services, or any other thing of value, or for the purpose <br />of soliciting any gift or donation, when a "No Solicitation" sign or "No Trespassing" sign is posted at or <br />near the entrance to such premise. This section shall apply to all solicitations, including without <br />limitation, those that are by a religious, charitable, school or civic organization, or other organization <br />eligible for exemption under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code. <br />(Ord. No. 1759-2018, § 1, 6-5-2018) <br />Sec. 5.06.030. - Attempt to obtain invitation. <br />No person shall attempt to obtain, by telephone or otherwise, an invitation to visit any private <br />residence or other private premises for the purpose of soliciting the purchase or sale of goods, services, <br />or any other thing of value, by knowingly making a false or deceptive representation or statement. <br />(Ord.
