o <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE ART GRANT APPLICATION L <br />C1ty0f <br />Grant Cycle: March 1, 2021-July 31, 2022 Louisville <br />Application Deadline: January 14, 2020 at 5:00 pm Cultural Council <br />About the Art Grants <br />The Louisville Cultural Council (LCC) is offering art grants to artists and arts organizations serving the Louisville <br />community. The art grant program provides financial and facility support to projects which utilize the arts as their <br />primary means of expression. In awarding these grants, the Louisville Cultural Council seeks to further their <br />mission of engaging our diverse social, cultural, and creative community. Diversity of media and creative artistic <br />expression is encouraged. <br />COVID-19 Considerations <br />In consideration of the impact of COVID-19 on local artists and arts organizations including public health <br />limitations on the size of in -person gatherings, new grant categories and eligibility requirements have been <br />created for 2021. Grants for performances and other public project have been altered to support socially - <br />distanced arts opportunities for Louisville residents. Grants are also available to support the professional <br />development and artistic enrichment of artists serving the Louisville community. <br />Grant Categories and Eligibility <br />All Grant Applicants <br />• Any individual or organization may apply. Organizations do not need to have 501c(3) status to apply. <br />• Special consideration will be given to artists and organizations based in Louisville, CO. <br />• All projects must take place between March 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022. <br />• The application must be received by 5pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. <br />Category 1: Arts Project Grants <br />• Programs must primarily focus on artistic expression or arts education. <br />• In -person performances or projects must take place in Louisville, Colorado. <br />• Online or virtual performances or projects must be specifically targeted at Louisville residents. For <br />projects with a limited audience size, special consideration must be given to ensure Louisville residents <br />have access to registration spots. <br />Category 2: Artist Enrichment Grants <br />• Funding may support the artist's professional development or be utilized to purchase materials that <br />will help with the creation of future projects. Examples may include enrolling in a class, purchasing new <br />equipment, or investing in technology that will enable the artist to present their art in accordance with <br />current public health guidelines. <br />Louisville Cultural Council * 2020 Art Grant Cycle — Program/Event Application <br />
