The cover of the 2000 Annual Budget depicts part of the 150 acres of <br />Warembourg property purchased as open space in 1999. In 1993 voters <br />authorized the 3/8% additional sales and use tax for ten years, designated for the <br />acquisition of land in and around Louisville for open space buffer zones, trails, <br />wildlife habitats, wetlands reservation and future parks. A total of $7,648,896 has <br />been spent with these funds through 1999. <br />
