Revitalization Commission
Minutes
October 28, 2020
Director Pierce will make updates to the Work Plan based on what was
discussed.
Council member Lipton said we will get feedback from the public about signage.
He encouraged reliance on the Sign Code and plan to make it a budget priority.
Commissioner Gorsevski said it seems that work on 824 South has slowed
down. Is there a reason? Director Pierce said there are no issues that she is
aware of, just slowed down. It is probably not going to be a boutique hotel;
design changes are being made and there are active conversations with
potential tenants.
Items for Next Regular Meeting, November 2020 (select date for rescheduled
regular meeting due to Veteran's Day holiday)
The LRC is scheduled to meet in November on Veteran's Day. After discussion, it was
agreed that the LRC will meet on Tuesday, November loth at 8:00 am.
Mike Kranzdorf said there is a for lease sign at 1100 Pine Street. He has been working
with Megan and a restaurant group, though the project would be costly and complex.
He is encouraged by today's discussion. The prime interest is changing the look and
use of that corner, which could significantly improve connectivity and attracting people
into downtown.
Traffic signal at Short Street should be turned on soon. Tebo Properties is in
conversations about pad sites at that location.
Commissioners Comments:
Chair Fisher asked for an update on Terraces on Main. Planning and Building Safety
Director Rob Zuccaro said there is no update from Boulder Creek Neighborhoods.
PUD is active but no updates from Boulder Creek Neighborhoods.
Adjourn: The meeting adjourned at 9:09 am.
Agenda Packet P. 7
