RESOLUTION NO.74 <br />SERIES 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR <br />SHARING OF COSTS OF A CONCEPTUAL DESIGN PLAN FOR THE <br />RECONFIGURATION OF STATE HIGHWAY 42 <br />WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement has been proposed for the cities of <br />Louisville and Lafayette to share the costs of completing a plan and initial design for that portion <br />of the State Highway 42 corridor extending between Empire Road in Louisville and Arapahoe <br />Road/State Highway 7 in Lafayette ("IGA"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve the IGA by this Resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement for the Sharing of Costs of a <br />Conceptual Design Plan for the Reconfiguration of State Highway 42, by and between the City of <br />Louisville and the City of Lafayette (the "IGA"), a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the IGA on behalf of the City <br />Council of the City of Louisville, and the Mayor is hereby further authorized to negotiate and <br />approve such revisions to the IGA as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the <br />protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of such IGA are not altered. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6t' day of October, 2020. <br />ATTEST: <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />Ashley St z ann, Mayor <br />�0001tA�� <br />Resolution No. 74, Series 2020 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
