RESOLUTION NO. 79 <br />SERIES 2020 <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE KOCI HOUSE FROM 1201 LINCOLN AVENUE <br />A HISTORIC LANDMARK <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an application requesting a <br />landmark eligibility determination for a historical residential structure located at 1201 Lincoln <br />Avenue, on property legally described as Lot 97, 98, 99 and Vacated Alley, Block 5, Nicola <br />Di Giacomo Addition, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado, to be relocated <br />to 633 La Farge Avenue, on property legally described as Lots 1-3, Block 7, Jefferson Place, <br />Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission <br />have reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City <br />Council a recommendation of approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark <br />application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly <br />noticed public hearing on the application; and <br />WHEREAS, nothing in this approval is intended to modify the standard water and <br />sewer tap fee calculation or process; public works will determine the correct fee and <br />apply it to the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Koci House from 1201 Lincoln Avenue has architectural significance <br />because it is a vernacular structure that is representative of the built environment in early <br />20t" century Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the Koci House from 1201 Lincoln Avenue has social significance <br />because it exemplifies the cultural, political, economic or social heritage of the community <br />considering its association with noteworthy Louisville families; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to <br />the individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in <br />Section 15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the <br />historic landmark application. <br />Resolution No. 79, Series 2020 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
