Description of Funds <br />And Fund Types <br />Fund for the purpose of escrowing funds for the <br />upgrade or replacement of the City's municipal <br />facilities such as the Recreation Center, City Hall, <br />Museum, Arts Center, City Shops, etc. <br />Technology Management Fund <br />In 1999, the City of Louisville established the <br />Technology Management Fund for the purpose of <br />escrowing money for the replacement of <br />computers (both hardware and software) and <br />peripherals that are capitalized. <br />Fleet Management Fund <br />In 1991, the City of Louisville established the <br />Fleet Management Fund for the purpose of <br />escrowing money for the replacement of <br />31 <br />governmental fund assets such as machinery, <br />equipment, and vehicles. <br />Self -Insurance Fund <br />In 1994, the City of Louisville established the Self <br />Insurance Fund. The Cin-'s self -insured health <br />fund was established to provide security in <br />meeting benefit plan commitments made to CHI - <br />employees and to stabilize cash flows required to <br />fund those plans. <br />In 1999, the City chose a private carrier to cover <br />the health insurance, with only the dental coverage <br />remaining self -insured. <br />
