Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday October 14, 2020, 7:OOpm <br />Electronic Meeting <br />1. Call to Order <br />Helen called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Helen read a statement about electronic <br />meeting protocol as required by the City. <br />2. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: Laura Scott Denton, Peter Gowen, Helen Moshak, David <br />Blankinship, Jessamine Fitzpatrick, Charles Danforth, Missy Davis <br />Board Members Absent: Tom Neville <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Nathan Mosley <br />3. Approval of Agenda <br />Peter moved to approve the agenda as written. Jessamine seconded. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />4. Approval of Previous Meeting's Minutes <br />Peter proposed to revise the minutes as follows: Page 2, Item 4, line 8, "outlies" should <br />be corrected to "outlines." <br />Peter moved to approve the minutes with the aforementioned change. Laura seconded. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />5. Staff Updates— Ember <br />See updates provided by Ember on page 7 of the October 2020 OSAB Meeting packet. <br />A. Nathan reported that there has been no re -submittal yet from the Redtail Ridge <br />developers. Medtronic has shifted to looking at Lafayette as a host for their new <br />campus. <br />B. Nathan offered his kudos to Ember, Benjamin, Connor, and Ginger for their work <br />on the Respect and Protect Open Space campaign. <br />C. Nathan spoke to the realtor representing the owner of the open lots at The <br />Enclave that had been discussed at the September meeting as a location for a <br />possible trail access to Davidson Mesa.The owners are looking for a fee simple <br />purchase only, not an easement. Nathan was of the opinion that trail access <br />would be better from the industrial park adjacent to the land, as the lots in <br />question would only serve the Enclave neighborhood. <br />D. A bobcat has been sighted repeatedly at the Enclave neighborhood. Bobcats <br />have also been seen on the Coal Creek Trail and at North Open Space this year. <br />City Council member Deb Fahey (1118 W Enclave Circle) added that the bobcat <br />has been recorded on her security camera. She was concerned about children in <br />the area who might be uncertain about how to respond to a bobcat. She also <br />added that she loves the Protect and Respect campaign.
