SUBJECT: RECOVERY & IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM UPDATE
DATE: NOVEMBER 20, 2020 PAGE 2 OF 2
buildings with these interior and exterior improvements, but there is also significant local
economic benefit from the City's investment.
Once all funds had been allocated, staff revised language on the grant program website
and on the grant application itself —noting that all approved funds were allocated. The
online application is still open, and in case additional funds are approved or staff finds
that not all funds have been spent through the reconciliation, staff could start to award
funds again based on those complete applications received in the meantime. There are
currently seven incomplete applications that have been received but not processed. All
of those applicants have been made aware of what is deficient in their application. Most
of those incomplete applications date back to September, so it seems unlikely any of
them will be completed. Staff is not aware of other significant grant applications that are
in -the -works.
A complete list of all the grant recipients is available on the City
website: https://www.louisvilleco.gov/doing-business/economic-development/incentives-
and-grants/recovery-and-improvement-grant-program.
RECOMMENDATION:
Review the summary and provide any input to staff about next steps of the Recovery &
Improvement Matching Grant program.
ATTACHMENTS:
None.
Agenda Packet P. 15
