SUBJECT: FUND STRUCTURE & RESTRICTED REVENUE <br />DATE: DECEMBER 15, 2020 PAGE 5 OF 6 <br />The Golf Course Fund accounts for the activities of the Coal Creek Golf Course. Prior to <br />April 1, 2010, the City contracted with a golf course management company to operate the <br />facility, supervise collection and disbursement of City funds, employ all personnel, and <br />purchase/sell all food, beverages, and merchandise. Effective April 1, 2010, the City <br />executed a License Agreement with the management company whereby it not only <br />operated the facility but paid for all costs and retained all revenue. The Golf Course <br />closed in September 2013 due to the flood. It was reopened in June 2015 and is now <br />operated, managed, and maintained solely by the City. <br />Internal Service Funds — Internal Service Funds are used to account for the financing <br />of goods or services provided by one department or agency to other departments or <br />agencies of the government and to other government units on a cost reimbursement <br />basis. <br />Technology Management Fund <br />In 1999, the City of Louisville established the Technology Management Fund for the <br />purpose of accumulating funds for the replacement of computers (both hardware and <br />software) and peripherals. <br />Fleet Management Fund <br />In 1991, the City of Louisville established the Fleet Management Fund for the purpose of <br />accumulating funds for the replacement of large machinery, heavy equipment, and <br />vehicles. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />12 <br />
