Sustainability Advisory Board
Agenda
November 18, 2020
*Hurrah for 2A!
*No decisions on board or commissions yet.
*Recreation Center is consuming a vast amount of energy. Does the
recreation center staff have the capability to manage the energy use,
or will they pay someone to help with it.
Perhaps LSAB can keep urgeing council to take action on the building
energy management system.
*Katie has been talking with Public Works to do a precise audit.
Don't put renewables on a building that needs efficiency. It would be
$700,000 to put solar on the rec. center. The pool is a big energy suck
due to heating the water.
6. 6:45PM LSAB Member Updates and Reports (5
minutes, more as needed)
Laura:
• Zero Food Print Organization are working together. uses
crowdfunding. 1 % of customers' bill toward regenerative
agriculture. Helps farmers use compost. Some restaurants in
the area are participating. Perhaps Republic/City of Louisville
could opt in to a similar project. Aprox. 270 ton GHG emissions
per year could be drawndown.
• Bounty House with a controlled grow environment for
hydroponics for a school community.
2
