SUBJECT: ECONOMIC VITALITY STRATEGIC PLAN
DATE: JANUARY 15, 2021 PAGE 2 OF 2
they are coping with receiving related to public health orders, finances, etc. Staff has
prepared a draft survey tool, so it might still be possible to administer the survey later
this spring, as long as staff had about three to four weeks lead time. It is anticipated this
work can be carried out even if the BRaD Committee is no longer in place.
It should be feasible for the EVC to engage in a conversation around the shortlist of
priority businesses for recruitment efforts in Q1 2021; a specific timeframe can be
determined in the next month or so. Work on the Cost of Doing Business/Development
Scorecard will be highly dependent on the pandemic status. This is mostly an intensive
data gathering effort which will require contributions from staff in other communities;
data requests that aren't critical to the pandemic will not likely be responded to until the
workload lightens for everyone.
Staff also requests the Committee's input on providing updates to the City Council on
the Strategic Plan status. A report could be provided every quarter or every six months,
and staff would appreciate input on what information is most relevant to include and the
desired format.
RECOMMENDATION:
Review strategic plan status.
ATTACHMENTS:
• Attachment #1: City of Louisville Economic Vitality Strategic Plan
Agenda Packet P. 16
