LL• <br />Lolsville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, December 18, 2020 <br />Regular Electronic Meeting <br />Call to Order: Councilmember Dickinson (Chair) called the electronic meeting <br />to order at 1:30 PM. <br />II. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: <br />Councilmember Dickinson, Mayor Pro Tern Maloney, and Councilmember Leh. <br />Also present were City Manager Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager Megan <br />Davis, Economic Vitality Director Megan Pierce, and ten members of the public. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney made a motion to approve the <br />agenda. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Leh. Motion passed. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Councilmember Maloney made a motion to <br />approve the meeting minutes of November 20, 2020 as amended; motion was <br />seconded by Councilmember Leh. Motion passed. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />Mr. Mark Oberholzer requested that the Zoom webinar settings be altered so <br />that participants could see the list of others participating that are not panelists. <br />Councilmember Deb Fahey encouraged the City to update and share a list of <br />local restaurants with links to their websites. <br />VI. Discussion/Direction- Business Pandemic Support Recommendations: <br />Director Pierce shared a presentation with an overview of the staff <br />recommendations; she focused on the potential grant program and the decision <br />points that should be discussed in order to bring a program forward to City <br />Council for approval. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney encouraged the Committee to come to consensus on <br />the grant program —focusing on those businesses most impacted by the <br />pandemic at this time. He supported having applicant businesses certify they <br />have experienced financial hardship but not adding administrative requirements <br />to audit this factor.
