Variance Cases <br />b1980-1 and <br />#1980-2 <br />April 10, 1980 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS AND BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES: PUBLIC HEARING FOR VARIANCES <br />FROM THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, I. D. SIGNS, INC. APPLICANT. APRIL 10, <br />1980 <br />Conznunity Building, 801 Grant Ave., Louisville, CO <br />The meeting of the Board of Appeals and Board of Adjustments was called to <br />order <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Present: <br />Robert Ross, Chairman. <br />Don Pickett, Vice -Chairman <br />Don Ross, Member <br />Gil Reed, Member <br />Bob Davies, Member <br />Staff Present: <br />Steve Ferris, Chief Building <br />Inspector and Secretary <br />Also present were Don Kliethermes, representing the applicant, I. D. Signs, <br />Inc., and Charles Klarich, representing Jacobs, Kahn, & Co., Owners. <br />2. Applicant desires two variances from Section 17.24.160 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code so as to permit the increase in size of the maxi <br />gross surface area of signs in a non-residential district from 100 square <br />feet to approximately 256 square feet, (Sign "A"), and from 100 square feet <br />to -approximately 400 square feet, (Sign "B") . <br />3. After some general discussion, a motion was made by Don Ross, and was <br />seconded by Bob Davies, to grant the variance for Case #1980-1, Sign <br />"A", with the following stipulations: <br />1). This Sign is a temporary sign and will require review in one (1) <br />year from date of issuance of permit up to a maximum of three <br />years. <br />2). Sign will be placed so as to maintain a minimum vision clearance <br />area of 150 feet at the intersection involved. <br />The motion was approved unanimously, and the variance was granted. <br />4. After some general discussion, a motion was made by Don Ross, and was <br />seconded by Vice -Chairman Pickett, to grant the variance for Case # 1980-2, <br />Sign "B", with the following stipulations: <br />1). This sign is a temporary sign and will require review in one (1) year <br />from date of issuance of permit up to a maximum of three years. <br />The motion was approved unanimously, and the variance was granted. <br />5. The Board of Appeals and Adjustments adopted the By -Laws for the Board. <br />6. The meeting of the Board of Appeals and Adjustments was adjourned. <br />
