MINUTES OF
THE LOUISVILLE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS
WEDNESDAY APRIL 22, 1987
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Sears called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present
Ray Sears
Dan Swires
Robert Ross
Norman Laurence
Steve Pendergrast
Dave Smith
G.R. Hundt
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Staff Present
James Ewan
Donna Cummings
Richard Wanush
Motion was made by Ross, seconded by Pendergrast, to approve the
minutes of the March 16, 1987 and March 19, 1987 meeting. All in
favor.
4. BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT ITEMS
A. DONALD AND PAULA SHONKWILER-FRONT SETBACK VARIANCE
Chairman Sears opened the public hearing. Notice of
hearing was published in the Louisville Times on April
APPLICANT'S PRSENTATION:
REQUEST
the public
8, 1987.
Donald Shonkwiler, 538 W. Ash Court,Louisville, Colorado 80027.
Shonkwiler stated the variance before the Board was to add a
third car garage addition to his home. Behind the garage will be
a recreation room that will be also added on. The variance will
be for the triangler section of the garage that is shown on the
plat that was sent out in the packet. This home is built on an
offset cul-de-sac. The cul-de-sac comes straight across and then
dips very far to the south and that creates a very unusal
condition on the corner of this lot, such that I get a extremely
wide side yard setback and I need the setback at the corner of
the existing garage. It will not be repeated in another location
in. the subdivision. No adverse conditions to the adjacent
property will be created. The lot next door is a vacant lot
astthis time. The building materials will be of the same
materials as the existing house is. I have contacted each of the
neighbors and explained what I was going to do and they all
supported me on the addition.
1
