<br />Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: October 25, 2004 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />AUTHORITY BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Modification of Premises - Castellino Corp. d/b/a Via Toscana - Hotel and <br />Restaurant Liquor License - 356 S. McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Via Toscana submitted a modification of premises to add seating space by renting <br />another unit in the shopping center. Their current premises surround the proposed new <br />addition. Secretary Hanson reported this change will not result in any changes to the <br />storage or handling of liquor in the establishment. <br /> <br />Lipton moved the Authority approve the modification of premises for Via Toscana. <br />Wilson seconded. Roll Call Vote: Koertje-yes, Lipton-yes, Mulvahill-yes, Wilson-yes <br />and Rommelfanger-yes. Motion adopted. <br /> <br />B. Setting of Public Hearing - New Beer and Wine License - JCK Mak Holdings <br />d/b/a East West Grill - 1387 South Boulder Road Suite G <br /> <br />Wilson moved the Authority establish the boundaries of the neighborhood on the <br />application for a new Beer and Wine License as the city limits of the City of Louisville <br />and set the public hearing for November 29,2004. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote: <br />Koertje-yes, Lipton-yes, Mulvahill-yes, Wilson-yes and Rommelfanger-yes. Motion <br />adopted. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Incident Report - 7/29/04 - Tri-City Elks Lodge <br /> <br />This incident involved individuals having a confrontation at the lodge. Detective <br />Gordanier reported the officer handling this incident was not present but she did not see <br />a liquor violation in this report. There was discussion as to whether officers were going <br />to be present at Authority meetings. Detective Gordanier stated they were trying this <br />tonight to see how it worked. <br /> <br />Discussion centered on the individuals involved in this incident and whether further <br />review was needed to avoid the appearance of impropriety. Mulvahill made a motion to <br />table item VII-A until the next meeting. Rommelfanger seconded. Roll Call Vote: <br />Mulvahill- yes, Rommelfanger - yes, Wilson - yes, Lipton - no, Koertje - yes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />B. Incident Report - 8/24/04 - Druids Arms <br /> <br />Officer Welter approached three women he observed in the downtown area when it <br />appeared two of them were assaulting the other. The parties were apparently <br />intoxicated and uncooperative with the officer.
