SUBJECT: COMMUNITY ENERGY DISCUSSION <br />DATE: MARCH 9, 2021 Page 2 of 13 <br />GHG EMISSIONS BREAKDOWN FOR COMMUNITY: <br />The most recent community -wide greenhouse gas inventory was completed in 2016 by <br />Boulder County. Electricity (building consumption and production) was the largest <br />source of emissions at 50%, followed by natural gas (building consumption and <br />production and excluding mobile usage) at 17% and mobile gasoline (vehicle <br />consumption) at 16%. <br />By sector, the commercial and industrial sector was the largest emitter of greenhouse <br />gas emissions (GHG) at 45%.
