Approval of Appointment of Steven Williams to the Historic Preservation Commission PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT OiN THE AGENDA Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy, Louisville, CO stated he brought the issue of compliance to the open government ballot initiative to the Council three months ago, and has not received a response. He stated thE; City has not reported to the voters the actual cost of implementing the plan, whiclh made agenda materials available to the public. He read apre-election report dated October 5, 2004 and a post-election report dated January 2008, and requested a response from the Council on when the plan was implemented and how much it costs. COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Councilor Muckle commended Louisville resident Kaaren Hill for her bravery. She assisted other passengers from the plane after the US Airway flight crashed into the Hudson River last month. Mayor Sisk stated the communities of Louisville and Lafayette are mourning the death of beloved Louisville resident John Breaux, who was killed in a traffic accident on Friday, January 30. He stated it is truly phenomenal how one person could affect so many people. John's funeral is Saturday, February 7, at the Flatiron Community Church in Lafayette at 11:00 a.rri., and burial will be at the Louisville Cemetery. The City has received countles:> suggestions on how to honor John. The City will work with the City of Lafayette to find a fitting way to honor John and preserve what was important to him. Councilor Muckle addressed the issue raised by Mr. Sobel and voiced his belief that the requirements of the open government initiative have been fulfilled. He noted all agenda items are posted on the City's Web Page and the city residents have the same access to agendas as City Council. Hle stated the final item, the open government pamphlet, was completed last year. 30
