Louisville Revitalization Commission
Work Plan
Project Areas & Actions
Owner
Timeframe
Funding
Priority
b. Discuss public improvements for
LRC
ST
$$
MEDIUM
funding, such as landscaping,
pedestrian scale lighting, and
connectivity in Village Square
c. Consider fagade improvement
LRC
MT
$$
HIGH
program for privately owned
$150,000*
property components
Notes:
Staff suggests that development of a fagade improvement program has a high potential for
LRC impact with individual commercial properties. However, there isn't necessarily a rationale
to limit this just to the South Boulder Road Project Area, the program could be available to
commercial properties within the Urban Renewal Area. The LRC currently has $150,000
budgeted in 2021 for fagade improvements. Once a program is developed, the LRC could fund
it on an annual basis. If LRC wishes to explore this further, staff could bring forward sample
programs from other communities along with recommendations for a Louisville program. This
could be accomplished in 2021.
d. Widen North side sidewalk on South
LRC/TMP
MT
$$
MEDIUM
Boulder Road (Garfield, Jefferson) to
$81,000*
10' where possible; coordinate
w/underpass construction- SW1
Notes:
Staff is discussing this further with PW; the project has not been included in the 2021 concrete
program. PW staff indicated the $81,000 budget included in the TMP capital does not seem
sufficient. There is a desire to coordinate this with the underpass on SBR (see notes on those
projects above).
5.
