Open Space Advisory Board <br />Goal Area: <br />TRAILS <br />Lead Person: <br />Trails Tiger Team - Charles & David <br />1. Ensure ongoing Trails -related items receive more attention and time from OSAB. <br />Specific Actions: <br />Who <br />When (Q#) <br />Status <br />1. Establish Trails Tiger Team. <br />OSAB <br />Q1 <br />2. Determine priorities for Trails Tiger Teamwork, <br />Tiger <br />Q2 and Q3 <br />being mindful to avoid overlap with Wayfinding <br />Team <br />Tiger Team work. Actions could include: <br />a. Review trails part of City of Louisville <br />Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to <br />identify gaps (e.g., single track / dirt trail <br />designation and how to address social <br />trails) and set trail priorities (e.g., update <br />on specific topics, update to entire plan, <br />update trail acquisition priorities, or <br />creation of trails master plan). <br />b. Review trails evaluation document and <br />update / implement if useful. <br />c. Work with staff to establish top 3-5 <br />priorities for trails work in next 5 years. <br />Identify potential sources of funding for <br />implementation (if needed) and plan for <br />advocacy to obtain funding. <br />d. Explore the concept of developing a Trails <br />Master Plan. <br />2. Support ongoing Open Space Division work related to trails. <br />Specific Actions: <br />Who <br />When (Q#) <br />Status <br />1. Comment and advise on the social trail pilot <br />OSAB <br />Q3 <br />project, as requested by Staff. <br />2. Respond to Staff requests for feedback on trail <br />OSAB <br />Ongoing <br />design (e.g., 104th Street in Q2, Highway 42 <br />planning). <br />3. Ensure coordinated approach to trail connectivity in Louisville and with surrounding areas. <br />Specific Actions: <br />Who <br />I When (Q#) <br />Status <br />1.
