The single -trade plumbing permit example is the second highest among the jurisdictions, but for the other permit types, Louisville is around the lower or midrange of the other jurisdictions. Elevator Fees In addition to standard plan review and inspection fees for installation of new elevators, the City conducts annual safety inspections on all commercial elevators in the City. A separate fee of $240 per elevator is collected for the annual inspections that covers our consultant costs and City administration and overhead. Contractor Licenses The City requires annual licenses for all contractors working in the City. This helps to insure contractors are following all City codes and requirements and providing competent work. The Building Official or Building Code Board of Appeals can revoke a license for a violation of City codes. Fees vary from $75 to$150 depending on the level of license. Other Fees There are several other minor fees that the City collects and are included in the revenue numbers for Construction Permits and Minor Permits. These included: • Inspections outside normal business hours: $125/hour with minimum 2 hours. • Re -Inspection Fee (work not complete for inspection): $100 • Replacement for Lost Permit Card: $50 • Administrative Fee for Refund (Prior to Commencement of Work): $50 • Additional Plan Review for Revisions After Permit Issued: $100/hour • Temporary Certificate of Occupancy: $175 CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION 255 11
