Mem-
bers of a Monarch High School
program, along with leaders in the
community, have developed this interactive seminar to
help parents and students learn how to protect against a
wide range of online risks.

Focus ON LIBRARY RESOURCES:
COPING WITH GRIEF

Working one
cult for everyone, but explaining it to children
and dealing with grief as a family often presents a chal-

one way for individuals and families to look for answers
and find support.
Library collection includes a wide variety of
books that deal with grief from many perspectives and
different age groups: picture books that
make it easier to explain death to young children; young
adult novels with characters and situations that focus on
teenagers; a wide variety of non-fiction books to help

all ages understand their complicated emotions as they
cope; and many other items. We have recently compiled
an easy-to-use list of all of these items-complete with
descriptions-so we may help you select the materials
that will be most useful.
We also have information from local hospice orga-
nizations and can connect you with individuals willing
to make classroom visits, home visits, or just lend their
support and experience in whatever way is most benefi-
cial to you and your loved ones.
