<br />HISTORICAL MUSEUM AND CITY <br />II\t'JN PRESERVATION AWARD <br /> <br />Historic Boulder, an organization dedicated to the <br />preservation of Boulder area historical, architectural, <br />visual, and environmental heritage, presented awards of merit <br />to the Louisville Historical Museum and the City of Louisville <br />at its awards dinner in February. <br />awards are in recognition of distinguished accomplish- <br />ment in historic preservation for the conservation and restora- <br />tion of the Historical Museum's Jacoe Store, Tomeo House, <br />Jordinelli House, and Summer Kitchen. <br />to <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1hursdays and the first Sat- <br />urday of every month from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Additional <br />information is available at 303.665.9048. <br /> <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION RECOGNIZES <br />BUILDINGS OF MERIT <br /> <br />In honor of Colorado Archeology and Historic Preserva- <br />tion Month in May the Historic Preservation Commis- <br />sion bestowed awards of merit to four building owners. <br />Connie & James Green, 721 Grant Avenue, for the <br />historic preservation of their home that was formerly the <br />Louisville Hospital. <br />John Leary and Jan Rowen, 1116 LaFarge Avenue, for <br />the historic restoration of their home, historically known as <br />the Jannucci House. <br />Herbert Day, Jr., 701 Grant Avenue, for the adaptive <br />reuse of his home that was formerly a church building. <br />JefFerson <br />Avenue, for the historically sensitive addition the church <br />built in 2000. <br />Congratulations to the winners and we thank them for <br />their commitment to the preservation of the character of Old <br />Town. <br /> <br /> <br />PHONE BOOK ERRORS <br /> <br />It has come to our attention that many of the City's <br />phone numbers listed in the Dex Telephone Di- <br />rectories problem exists in the <br />Government listings, the Business pages, and the Yellow <br />pages. <br />Should you need to contact any City department by <br />phone, we suggest you use the listings on the back of this <br />Thank you. <br /> <br />CITY II\t'JNS AWARD FOR THE <br />KEEP IT CLEAN PARTNERSHIP <br /> <br />On Tuesday, April 10, the Keep it Clean Partnership <br />was awarded the U.S. Environmental Protection <br />Agency Region 8's "Environmental Achievement . <br />award recognizes communities for <br />their significant achievements in protection of <br />public health or the environment. <br />Keep it Clean Partnership (KICP) is a <br />regional stormwater quality management program serving the <br />communities of Boulder, Boulder County, Erie, Longmont, <br />Louisville and Superior. <br />partnership represents a unique regional approach <br />to water quality management and contributes to statewide <br />KICP's <br />mascot "H20 Jo" and the slogan "Keep it Clean, 'cause we're <br />all downstream" have been used to create a family-friendly <br />message that serves to educate children as well as adults, and a <br />number of the KICP programs have been adopted statewide. <br />Keep it Clean Partnership is a leading example of <br />how local governments can partner to promote environmen- <br />tal awareness and achieve environmental goals," said Janice <br />Lopitz, Keep it Clean Partnership coordinator. <br />Environmental Achievement Award recognizes signifi- <br />cant achievements in the protection of public health or the <br />environment and in advancing the agency's strategic goals. <br />Among the criteria is an outstanding contribution to environ- <br />mental protection through a single action, or by an ongoing <br />action over an appreciable period of time. <br /> <br /> <br />WEATHERIZATION AND <br />REHABILITATION LOANS AVAILABLE <br /> <br />Longs Peak Energy Conservation of Boulder County <br />provides weatherization and housing rehabilitation to <br />600 low-to-moderate income households each year.
