<br /> <br />AUDIOBOOKS FOR ALL <br />AGES & INTERESTS <br /> <br />Did you know that you can now download audio- <br />books and classical music <br />with your Louisville library card? <br />Go to the Library's web site (www. <br />ci.louisville.co.us/library) and click <br />111 ere <br />you will find instructions on how to <br />download the free Overdrive Media <br />Console software, perform a one- <br />time security upgrade to your Windows Media Player, <br />and transfer an audio book or music to your Pc. From <br />your PC you may transfer the item to a supported MP3 <br />player or, in many cases, burn to a CD. <br />are more than 13,000 book titles for adults, <br />teens, and children to choose from. <br />-Together, a family could listen to a Christmas clas- <br />sic, such as Night Before Christmas. <br />-Someone planning a trip to Italy could start learning <br />Italian with Living Language's All Audio Italian 1. <br />- If your teenager is assigned to read Adventures <br />of Huckleberry Finn, he can download this book onto <br />his computer and listen to it. <br />111ere are many types of books available, so don't <br />forget to check this link when you're looking for a book <br />of any kind. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2008 CALL FOR LOCAL ARTISTS <br /> <br />The Library is inviting established artists and <br />photographers from the Boulder County <br />area to exhibit their work in the Gallery located in <br />the north wing of the main floor. Gallery has 50 <br />linear feet of exhibition walls, with 13-foot ceilings <br />and a track and cable hanging system. Display space <br />for three-dimensional art will be available spring <br />2008. <br />Please contact Karen Freiter at 303.335.4815 for <br />an application or more information. Whether you like poetry, short sto- <br />ries, plays, or novels, you'll have a chance to share your <br />own work, participate in fun writing activities, and get <br />your creative juices flowing. <br /> <br />TEEN READING RENDEZVOUS - GRADES 6-12 <br />December 10, January 14, February 11 - 4:30-5:30 PM <br />Do you just love to talk about what you are read- <br />ing, but no one seems interested? We are! <br />Teen Reading Rendezvous will meet during the <br />school year to discuss books they would like to recom- <br />mend to others or books to be avoided at all costs. A <br />light snack will be provided. Registration is not required, <br />but it is appreciated. <br /> <br />TEEN TECH WEEK - MARCH 2-8, 2008 <br />This national event is celeb~ating its second year, <br />and offering special tech-re- <br />lated activities.
