HARNEY LASTOKA COMMUNITY GARDENS In March 2008, garden plots will be available to gardeners in the Louisville area. Commu- nity Gardens are current- ly under construction on the Harney Lastoka open space property located adjacent to the Louisville Sports Complex east of Highway 42. Twenty-seven 20' x 20' standard plots, ten 8' x 16' raised beds, and four 4' x 8' handicapped accessible beds will be available for an annual plot rental fee. Growing Gardens Inc., a non-profit organization, will manage the gardens, handle all plot rentals, and establish fees. You may contact them at 303.413.7248 or at annie@growinggardens.org. BRANCH RECYCLE SITE W,NTER HOURS The City's Branch Recycle site, which accepts ~ , woody plant mate- ... rial and makes available ~~ mulch for residents, will be changing hours for site will be closed for the month of December until December 29 - 31 when we will open for Christmas tree We will open again tree on January 5 and Branch site will close for the months of February and March and will reopen on April 5 and 6. CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING Scout pack 82 will be picking up Christmas trees from Louisville residents on Saturday, January 5th. If you would like to have your tree picked up, please call 303.335.4998 by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 4, and leave your name, address, and phone number. All decora- tions must be removed from the tree. Place the tree at the curb the morn- ing of the 5th. A $5 donation for trees under seven feet or a $10 donation for trees seven feet and over is appreciated. Your donation can be left in an envelope tree trees will be taken to the City Branch Recycle site and turned into mulch for residents to use throughout the year.
