ONLINE READER'S ADVISORY SERVICE The Louisville Public Library has introduced BookNews, reader's advisory service provides patrons with access to free electronic newsletters about a wide variety of books via the Library web site-or delivered di- rectly to a personal email address. newsletters include reviews, descriptions, and author commentaries. Links within the newsletters take subscribers directly to the Library's catalog, where they can see if a title is available at the Library-or anywhere in the library system. ONLINE BOOK CLUBS Too!! so many books, so little time... For all you busy people, the Library has a new service-an Online Book Club that delivers books electronically. Each day during the week, the Library emails subscribers a portion of a book that usu- ally takes about 5 minutes to read. During that week, sub- scribers are able to read 2-3 chapters from a book. If they like it, they can check it out of the Library. A new book is featured each week. Sign up today @ www.ci.louisville. co. us/library! ONE BOOK/ONE BOULDER COUNTY This spring, the Louisville Public Library is partici- pating in the first One Book, One Boulder County community read- ing program. Everyone is encouraged to join with their neighbors and friends to read Homer Hickam's Rocket Boys. Library has purchased extra copies for this countywide book club. memoir of Hickam growing up in the West Virginia coalfields and having his imagination captured by the 1957 launch of Sputnik is enjoyable read- ing for all ages.
