<br />2009 BOARD & COMMISSION OPENINGS <br /> <br />The City has a variety of Boards and Commissions each with specific responsibilities as detailed in <br />the Municipal Code and City Charter. Areas of interest range from the Arts to Historic Preservation <br />to Open Space. <br />City is currently accepting letters of interest for vacancies on municipal <br />Boards and Commissions. Louisville residents who wish to apply may submit a let- <br />ter of interest to Mayor Chuck Sisk, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027, or via <br />email tosiskc@ci.louisville.co.us. <br />Please include your name, address, business and home phone numbers, and the <br />board or commission for which you are applying. Please also briefly state what your <br />interest is in serving on the board or commission. Each applicant will be interviewed <br />by the City Council. Interviews are tentatively set for the evenings of Monday, November <br />10 and Tuesday, December 9. <br /> <br /> <br />DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: <br />5:00 PM, Monday, November 3,2008 <br /> <br />City Council will be taking applications for the following: <br /> <br />Board of Adjustment Historical Commission <br />Building Code Board of Appeals Horticulture & Forestry Advisory Board <br />Cultural Council Library Board of Trustees <br />Historic Preservation Commission Local Licensing Authority <br />(Applicants with a background in preservation-related Open Space Advisory Board <br />professions are specifically encouraged to apply.) Revitalization Commission <br /> <br />Information about the activities of each Board and Commission is available on the included City Calen- <br />dar and on the City's web site at www.ci.louisville.co.us under the Boards & Commissions link. <br />If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Borelli at 303.335.4533. <br /> <br /> <br />The following is a list of some of the action items taken by the City Council since the last edition of the <br />Community Update. <br /> <br />t:!:>Approved Resolution No. 22, Series 2008 to amend <br />the City's policy regarding reimbursements for expenses <br />resulting from sewer backup or water meter failures. <br />t:!:>Approved Resolution No. 24, Series 2008 and Ordi- <br />nance No. 1536, Series 2008 giving final approval for <br />the Takoda Development Plan. <br />t:!:> Approved an agreement giving all City of Louisville <br />employees access to an RTD Eco Pass bus pass. <br />t:!:>Approved Ordinance No. 1535, Series 2008 rezon- <br />ing a 4.9 acre parcel ofland at 1125 Short Street from <br />Industrial to Mixed-Use Residential zoning. <br /> <br />t:!:>Approved Resolution No. 30, Series 2008 approving <br />a business assistance package for Brasel, LLC for a new <br />restaurant in the Village Square Shopping Center. <br />t:!:>Approved Resolution No. 34, Series 2008 allowing the <br />operation of the Patchwork School at 1428 Main Street, <br />an area zoned Commercial Neighborhood. <br />t:!:>Approved Resolution No. 36, Series 2008 approving <br />a lease and license agreement between the City and the <br />Boulder Valley School District for a fiber optic telecom- <br />munications network. <br /> <br />
