<br /> <br />HIGHLIGHTING NEW ELECTRONIC RESOURCES <br /> <br />FOR STUDENTS <br />World Book Online <br />It's Sunday night, you have homework and the <br />Library is closed. No worries! Just go to the Library <br />web site, then: <br />Research A Subject I Databases and Websites <br />and select World Book Online from the alphabetical <br />list of databases. There you will find news events, e- <br />books, timelines, an interactive atlas, primary sources, <br />and more. This resource will also be available from <br />Homework Help on the Teen and Children's homep- <br />ages. <br />Virtual Reference Library <br />The Library has recently acquired 11 new e-book <br />titles for 24/7 remote access. Using your active library <br />card, you can access credible, scholarly research from <br />your home, classroom, or anywhere using an Internet <br />connection. Reference books are going into the "vir- <br />tual world" so that you can enjoy unlimited access <br />any time of day. <br />Our new titles are available from the Library's <br />homepage under Research A Subject I Virtual Refer- <br />ence Books. New titles include topics on the environ- <br />ment, business, ancient Greece, and the ancient Near <br />East. Other e-books being added include an encyclo- <br />pedia of senior health and an encyclopedia of science. <br /> <br />FOR DO-IT-YOURSELFERS <br />Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC) <br />Save time and money and "Do It your-. <br />self" with the help of this new database <br />that includes automotive repair informa- <br />tion on most manufacturers of domestic <br />and imported vehicles. <br />With your Library card, you can login to access <br />over 205,000 drawings and step-by-step photographs <br />and over 130,000 wiring diagrams for viewing and <br />printing. <br />You can even use a laptop and take this resource <br />right to your garage-24/7. FAQs, tips, technical ser- <br />vice bulletins, recalls, and maintenance schedules are <br />all part of your "full service package" using ARRC. <br />Just follow these few simple steps: <br />· Go to Research a Subject on the Library homepage <br />· Select Databases and Websites <br />· Under Browse Resources, select Databases <br />· Go to Auto Repair Reference Center in the alpha- <br />beticallist of databases <br />After selecting ARRC, you will need to enter your <br />library card number. <br />Or, stop by the Library for a test drive of this great <br />product. The performances begin in May and will <br />be held at different locations including the Library, <br />which is a co-sponsor of the program. <br />Join us for the December 17th informational ses- <br />sion to find out more about this terrific program, co- <br />sponsored by Colorado Humanities. The 2009 group <br />will begin bi-weekly meetings in January.
