There are 13
people on Project HOPE waitlist. Selena has 2-3 seniors per day that needs housing that she
cannot help. The rental market in Louisville is very difficult for individuals to find affordable
housing within.
Walt Oelkers stated that visitability in Louisville is important for seniors. He would like to
continue to look for sites for senior housing -both affordable and non-subsidized. Some other
complexes have increased the rent $200-300 per month, so they can no longer afford it.
