The Chamber may consider <br />doing their beer-fest in September but are waiting to decide. No one has specifically canceled <br />but, rather, Clerk Muth said they are probably waiting to apply. <br />Other city facilities: <br />In level yellow, many buildings open with limited hours and providing services by appointment. <br />City Services Facility and Police Department have mostly been fully staffed throughout the <br />pandemic and have done an excellent job of managing public health and safety protocols. As <br />we approach level blue and green, conversations are happening at the Management Team and <br />Department level to review what we have learned to see what changes may be made as we <br />move forward. <br />Council member Lipton said staff has done a good job. He likes taking small steps and <br />measuring the climate. He likes the conservative reopening approach. He appreciates staff's <br />presentation. Council member Fahey also thanked staff saying they have done an amazing job <br />keeping everyone safe. The innovative programming and outreach at library, museum and <br />senior center has been wonderful. <br />City Manager Heather Balser thanked staff for all their innovation and creativity. She is <br />impressed every day. Lessons have been learned. <br />Council member Leh echoes how proud Council is of staff and appreciates the resiliency. He <br />appreciates the City Manager and the work that has been done. This is a stressful time and City <br />Manager and staff have set a wonderful example. Council member Dickinson also appreciates <br />staff and residents for making the right choices. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Maloney thanked staff. He noted staff is having to follow rules but meet <br />expectations and he appreciates the work that has been done. <br />Advanced Agenda & Identification of Future Agenda Items <br />Mayor Pro Tem Maloney, pointed out the summer break on the advanced agenda and asked <br />that Chairs of each of the committees consider not scheduling meetings during that time to allow <br />Council and staff to have a break. <br />The advanced agenda was discussed. <br />Council member Brown would like to schedule a discussion related to returning to in -person <br />meetings. City Manager Balser suggested that discussion could happen in May or June. <br />Council member Dickinson would like a discussion on community vaccination programs. City <br />Manager Balser said staff hopes to have the information in May. Mass vaccination programs <br />will depend on supply.
