RESOLUTION NO. 41 <br />SERIES 2021 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE UTILITY LINE <br />UNDERGROUNDING POLICY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville's franchise agreement with Xcel Energy requires Xcel <br />to budget and allocate 1% of the preceding year's electric gross revenues for Louisville to bury <br />existing overhead facilities underground; and <br />WHEREAS, to use the 1% fund, the City must select projects with distribution or feeder <br />utility lines that are located in the right-of-way and that are at least 750 feet in length; and <br />WHEREAS, to help determine the use of the 1% fund for potential undergrounding <br />projects, the City staff have developed a policy setting forth criteria by which to evaluate the <br />benefits of such projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such policy and desires to approve the same. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />The City of Louisville Utility Line Undergrounding Policy attached to this resolution is <br />hereby adopted and approved, effective June 2, 2021 <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June, 2021. <br />ATTEST: <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />Ashley S mann, Mayor <br />Resolution No. 41, Series 2021 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
