SUBJECT: POTENTIAL BALLOT TRANSPORTATION TAX DISCUSSION <br />DATE: JUNE 17, 2021 <br />PAGE 4 OF 8 <br />SBR, Hwy 42 & South Street, Via Appia & SBR, Bullhead Gulch, Dillon Road & <br />Powerline (to US 36) and Hwy 42 & SBR. Staff is presenting this prioritization as a <br />starting point for discussion and seeks final confirmation on prioritization recognizing <br />that not all underpasses will likely be completed within the current $50 million total for <br />transportation improvements. <br />Direction Required #1- based on the updated cost estimates staff is requesting <br />direction on which (none, all, or 1-6) underpasses continue forward for inclusion in a <br />final financing scenario and the appropriate contingency level. Additionally, staff is <br />requesting prioritization of the underpasses moving forward. <br />FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS AND POSSIBLE BALLOT LANGUAGE FOR <br />POTENTIAL TRANSPORTATION TAX: The City Council will review the proposed <br />budget amendment at the June 15, 2021 City Council meeting (Link to June 15 packet <br />materials below). Consistent with those changes and current financial projections for <br />the remaining year, the projected 2021 ending General Fund balance is $12.4 million. <br />The projected 2021 ending Capital Project Fund balance is $850,000. <br />The current financial projections for all funds are shown in the table on the following <br />page. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />5 <br />
