w <br />City of Louisville <br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes January 24, 1995 <br />The City of Louisville Planning Commission met in City Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, <br />Louisville, Colorado. The following were present: <br />Planning Commission: <br />Bill Boulet, Chairperson <br />Russ VanNostrand, Vice Chair <br />Rex Renfrew, Secretary <br />Jeff Lipton <br />Barton Puryear <br />Betty Solek <br />Tom McAvinew <br />City Staff: Peter Kernkamp, Planner <br />Dave Lee (video) <br />Others: <br />I. Call to Order: Chairperson Boulet opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />IB. Chairperson - Opening Remarks: Chairperson Boulet noted that this a meeting <br />concerning Old Town Zoning Review. This meeting is a continuation from October, <br />1994. Since that date staff has been able to get gather more information for the <br />Commission to discuss what options there are for imposing a PUD on the Old Town <br />area. <br />IC. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioner were present. Chairperson welcomed new <br />Commission member Betty Solek. <br />II. Approval of November 10, 1994 Minutes: Minutes approved by unanimous voice. <br />Commissioners Puryear and McAvinew abstained from the vote. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved by unanimous voice vote. <br />IV. Staff Presentation: Peter Kernkamp gave the staff presentation. I have included in <br />your packets the minutes from the October meeting to help remind you of the suggestions and <br />issues of our last meeting on Old Town. We have prepared some graphics to help illustrate some <br />of the bulk plane. Also attached is a copy of a Denver ordinance that was passed in 1993 dealing <br />with bulk plane in some of their older neighborhoods. The first issue addressed was the setbacks <br />to accessory structures. Staff suggests 3 feet be used as the standard setback in the Old Town <br />area. Where there is a garage that enters onto an alley staff suggest that the setback be a minimum <br />of 24 feet from the opposite side of the alley right of way. There are, obviously, garages existing <br />
