It poses <br />conflicts with structural code in regards to <br />exterior structural attachments such as decks <br />which are not to have anything between the <br />deck structural member and house structural <br />member that it is being attached too. <br />R7.5 is 1.5" in thickness. Even siding being <br />attached through this is now providing a pivot <br />point for the structural anchors of any <br />exterior finish system on the building. This <br />will create long term maintenance issues on <br />any building that it is used on. <br />I believe that continuous insulation creates <br />more problems then it solves and should be <br />removed from the Louisville code adoption in <br />its entirety. <br />
