NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1 The City Council strongly supports the grant application to the Colorado <br />State Recreational Trail Grant Program for a Trails Construction Grant in the 2022 Non -Motorized <br />Grant Cycle in the amount of $250,000 ("Grant Application") to assist in funding the construction <br />of a trail connection between the Coal Creek Trail and Rock Creek Farm via the S. 104th Street <br />corridor (the "Project"), and if the grant is awarded, the City Council supports project completion <br />and shared long-term maintenance of the improvements with project partners following project <br />completion. <br />Section 2 The City Council verifies that the properties targeted for the project are <br />jointly owned by the project partners and will be under the control of the partners and open to the <br />public for at least the next 25 years. <br />Section 3. The City Council represents and warrants that the Grant Application <br />includes matching funds for which the City is solely responsible to provide, and that the City has <br />appropriated or will appropriate such matching funds if the grant is awarded. <br />Section 4 The Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk, and City staff are hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute all documents and do all other things necessary on behalf of the City to <br />complete, execute, and submit the Grant Application. <br />Section 5.
