Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 9, 2021 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Commissioners Hoefner and Diehl agreed. <br />Ritchie asked for feedback on Tier 2 and Tier 3. <br />Brauneis stated that he was comfortable with the current proposal for those tiers. <br />Diehl stated that the argument was for future -proofing these developments and it was <br />cheaper to do the work at build. He asked if the state plan was to do 100% by 2050 then <br />shouldn't we be aiming higher. <br />Brauneis stated that the cheapest place to charge was at home without fees. He didn't <br />know that EV was needed at both ends of a commute. <br />Hoefner stated that Chair Brauneis's commute point was one argument for keeping the <br />numbers lower. He observed that it was also possible that the technology overall would <br />change to the point where charging at businesses was not relevant. <br />Diehl and Commissioner Howe agreed. <br />Brauneis made a motion and Hoefner offered a friendly amendment of a 10/10/50% <br />spread for Tier 1. Diehl seconded. Motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />COMMISSIONER COMMENTS <br />Commissioners expressed appreciation for Interim Director Ritchie taking over the <br />position. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />Ritchie shared information on the Old Town Overlay update and the Commission's <br />involvement. <br />COMMISSIONER COMMENTS <br />►Cm <br />ADJOURN <br />Diehl moved and Brauneis seconded a motion to adjourn.
