6 CityOf <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO -SINCE 1878 <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, September 24, 2021 <br />Regular Electronic Meeting <br />Call to Order: Chair Dickinson, called the electronic meeting to order at 1:32 <br />PM. <br />II. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: <br />Councilmember Dickinson and Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. The following <br />members of the City Council were absent: Councilmember Leh. Also present <br />were Economic Vitality Director Megan Pierce, Interim City Manager Megan <br />Davis, Interim Deputy City Manager Rob Zuccaro, Economic Vitality Specialist <br />Austin Brown, and four members of the public. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney made a motion to approve the <br />agenda. Motion was seconded by Chair Dickinson. Motion passed. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney made a motion to <br />approve the meeting minutes of August 20, 2021; motion was seconded by <br />Chair Dickinson. Motion passed. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None. <br />VI. Discussion/Direction- Strategic Plan Item #1-3: Evaluate and Potentially <br />Revise Business Assistance Program (BAP) to Align with City's Strategic <br />Goals for Business Attraction and Retention (continued): Director Pierce <br />presented the individual recommendations for revisions to the BAP which had <br />been identified in previous EVC meetings. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney questioned whether the revised applicant timing <br />requirement would only compress the timeframe of a business being able to <br />sign their lease prior to gaining approval. Director Pierce clarified that this <br />change could also put the business at risk of signing the lease and then not <br />receiving BAP approval. Councilmember Dickinson responded that this change <br />would not solve the awareness issue but agreed with Mayor Pro Tern Maloney <br />that he was in favor of this recommendation. <br />Councilmember Dickinson asked whether applicants would be able to apply for <br />a rebate of sign permit fees in addition to other incentives.
