For the purpose of regulating the sale of alcohol beverages, the local <br />licensing authority, in its discretion, upon application made to it in the prescribed <br />form, may issue and grant to the applicant those licenses to sell alcohol beverages <br />that the local licensing authority is authorized to issue pursuant to title 12, articles, <br />'16, '17, and 48, title 44, articles 3 through 5, C.R.S., as they currently exist or may <br />hereafter be amended, including but not limited to, the following classes of licenses, <br />subject to the provisions and restrictions of sale as to manner, place, and license fee <br />as provided by this Chapter. <br />[subsections A - K to remain the same] <br />L. Festival permit. A festival permit may be issued to the <br />licensees identified in C.R.S. § 44-3-404. A separate local festival permit <br />is required for each festival. No more than nine (9) permits may be issued <br />to a single licensee during a twelve-month period. <br />Section 3. Section 5.08.060 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words to be deleted are stricken through; words to be added are underlined): <br />Sec. 5.08.060. Special event permits; generally. <br />The local licensing authority may issue a special event permit for the sale, <br />by drink only, of alcohol beverages to organizations qualifying under C.R.S. § 44- <br />5-101 12 48-1-04 et seq. The local licensing authority may, by resolution, elect to <br />issue special events permits without notifying the state licensing authority to obtain <br />its approval or disapproval of applications for special events permits, which such <br />resolution may be repealed or amended from time to time. <br />Section 4. Subsections A, C, D and E of Section 5.08.075 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code are hereby amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are stricken through; words to <br />be added are underlined): <br />Sec. 5.08.075. Liquor tastings. <br />A. The city hereby authorizes tastings to be conducted by retail liquor <br />store licensees in accordance with this section and pursuant to section 44-3-301 4-2- <br />'17 301, C.R.S. Within the city, it is unlawful for any person or licensee to conduct <br />tastings unless a permit has been obtained in accordance with this section. The local <br />licensing authority is authorized to issue tasting permits in accordance with the <br />requirements of this section. <br />C. Tastings shall be subject to the following limitations: <br />1. Tastings shall be conducted only by a person who has <br />completed a server training program that meets the standards established by <br />Ordinance No. 1818, Series 2021 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
