E. Recreational activity restrictions. <br />1. Engage in any of the following activities or any other activity <br />similar in nature to those activities described below, except by written permit as <br />provided in section 14.12.020: <br />i. Take off, land, or touch down with a parachute after <br />skydiving, base jumping, hang gliding, paragliding, parapenting, parachuting, <br />parasailing or other activity involving a parachute. Emergency landings, as <br />determined by city law and code enforcement officers, are allowed; <br />ii. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, or sledding; except <br />that sledding is permitted in park lands if carried out in compliance with the <br />provisions of this Section prohibiting damage to wildlife, animals, animal habitat, <br />fish, livestock, and natural, cultural, and manmade resources. <br />iii. Mountain skateboarding, mountain ski -biking, off - <br />road roller blading, or metal detecting; <br />iv. Use of any remote -controlled land, water, or airborne <br />devices. <br />2. Engage in geocaching except by written permit as provided <br />in section 14.12.020. The foregoing notwithstanding, geocaching is never <br />authorized in the Louisville Cemetery. For purposes of this subsection, <br />"Geocaching" means a recreational activity requiring participants to search for <br />hidden items using global positioning system coordinates retrieved from an internet <br />website or other source; <br />3. Drive, putt, or in any other fashion play or practice golf or <br />use golf balls or golf clubs, except (i) as permitted at the Coal Creek Golf Course, <br />or (ii) by written permit as provided in section 14.12.020; <br />Section 3. Section 14.12.070 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are st-Fieken dffeuo): <br />Sec. 14.12.070. - Closures. <br />The city manager or the manager's designee may from time to time close all <br />or a portion of any land, building, facility, or body of water regulated under section <br />14.12.010, to the public or to certain animals, or both, as the city manager or the <br />manager's designee determines necessary or desirable due to wildlife, vegetation, <br />management review, contractual agreement, or public safety concerns. A closure <br />by the city manager or the manager's designee shall be for a temporary, fixed period <br />of time; except that, a closure may be permanent if consented to by the city council. <br />Within two business days of making a decision to close all or a portion of any land, <br />0 <br />20 <br />
