It is not limited to students and parents. His <br />daughter asked, through Sisk, for any donations the citizens might like to make. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - DENVER REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS' 1997 LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT INNOVATIONS AWARD - CITY OF LOUISVILLE "THE LIVING <br />CHRISTMAS TREE" PROJECT <br /> <br />Margaret Carpenter, Mayor of Thornton, awarded the DRCOG 1997 Local Government Innovations <br />Award to the City of Louisville for "The Living Christmas Tree" project. The City of Louisville won <br />second place in the Public-Private Partnership category. The project, which paired Louisville and its <br />Resource Conservation Advisory Board with the Treehouse Nursery, encouraged residents to buy <br />live Christmas trees which were then planted in open space and parks after the holiday season. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, introduced Heather Balser, Management Assistant. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
