LCityof 2022 Historical Commission <br />Louisville Supplemental Questions <br />COLORADO • S1NCE 1878 <br />Applicant Name: Shelley Angell <br />The Historical Commission advises the City Council on matters related to the Louisville <br />Historical Museum and promotes public awareness of the history of Louisville with an emphasis <br />on the coal mining era. <br />• The Commission meets the first Wednesday of odd -numbered months at 6:30 pm. <br />Terms are four years. <br />You must be a resident of Louisville to serve. <br />I. Briefly explain your interest on serving on the Historical Commission. <br />I grew up in Louisville and would like to help preserve our history for future generations. <br />2. What is your vision for the Historical Museum, what would you like to accomplish on the Historical <br />Commission while you're involved? <br />My vision for the Historical Museum is to see that it stays vital in our community. I would <br />also love to see the campus expanded. <br />I think Bridget Bacon does an excellent job and I would like to help support her in all her <br />efforts of preserving our history. <br />3. Describe a personal connection you have had with Louisville history, or describe what particularly <br />interests you about Louisville history. <br />I am a fourth generation Louisville native and feel very fortunate that my family is part of <br />Louisville's history. <br />
