code on the underpass should not be placed. Members strongly believe this information
should be available to the public in a more timely manner, and that QR codes for other
artwork could occur in the future. Mark motioned and Debbie seconded that the LCC
delegate responsibility to Kim to write an email to city council members on behalf of the
LCC to be able to place a QR code on the underpass. All approved. (except Adam and
Tami who were not present).
b. Discussion Item: Initial overview of grant application and award parameters. This was
not discussed.
c. Action Item: Vote on creation and assignment of Arts Grant "Lead" volunteer. This
was not discussed.
XII. Fall/Winter Programming and Budget Update
a. Information/Discussion Item: Programming Update
i. 9/25 Opera Colorado is postponed until the mask mandate is lifted.
ii. 10/2 Alfred Muro (Mark, Robby, Lisa) This was a fabulous concert, with 44
attendees. Erica reiterated that the city will mail a check after the event if the contract
stipulates an 80/20 split, while if the artist agrees to a flat fee, the check can be given to
the artist at the event.
iii. 10/7 Pumpkin Carving collab with the library. Lisa said it was super fun, and 30
pumpkins were distributed and carved. 7 Generations farm provided a good price on the
pumpkins, and she recommends having two sessions next year.
iv. 10/22 The Ivalas Quartet. Leah said this was wonderful, 60 tickets were sold
online.
v. The Weather Drone lecture. Leah and Debbie are looking into holding it later in
November or December at the Rec/Senior center as the Art Center is booked up.
vi. The Sustainability Film Series has expanded to include Louisville, Superior,
Lafayette and Broomfield, who will collaborate on a series of 4 films. As of now, there is
no cost associated with the LCC co -sponsoring this, which might change in 2022.
vii. Whimsy Painting Project with library, possibly in Nov/Dec. Supplies $30/person,
about $1000 total. Last year about 30 people picked up kits and 10 people provided their
own supplies, and all painted along with an instructor on zoom.
b. Action Item: Subcommittee formation for additional programming for 2021/early
2022. Lisa, Leah and Robby volunteered to be on this subcommittee.
XIII. Adjorn. Beth moved and Lisa seconded to adjorn. Sometime around 7:30 pm. All
approved.
Respectfully submitted by Debbie Davies
