City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 5, 2021 <br />Page 11 of 11 <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1818, SERIES 2021 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.08 <br />OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO AUTHORIZE THE LOCAL LICENSING <br />AUTHORITY TO ISSUE FESTIVAL PERMITS AND TO UPDATE STATUTORY <br />REFERENCES IN THE CHAPTER — 1ST READING, SET PUBLIC HEARING 10/19/21 <br />MOTION: Mayor Stolzmann introduced the item by title and moved to approve the <br />ordinance on first reading and set the public hearing; seconded by Councilmember Lipton <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous voice vote. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS, COMMITTEE REPORTS, AND IDENTIFICATION OF FUTURE <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney spoke about the City Manager recruitment process and the <br />possible schedule of interviews. A more specific schedule will be forthcoming. <br />Mayor Stolzmann wants to discuss amendments to the code to allow sledding in certain <br />areas of open space as a future agenda item before wintertime. <br />Councilmember Fahey would like to have a discussion item for compost, recycling, and <br />trash pickup for multifamily and commercial buildings.
