The Authority will present a review of 2008 <br />accomplishments and discuss their plans for 2009. <br /> <br />Below is information provided about LHA on the City's website. <br /> <br />The Louisville Housing Authority (LHA) provides housing assistance to families and senior <br />citizens. The LHA has twenty-seven Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates from HUD. The <br />Section 8 program provides rental assistance to very low-income families and senior citizens <br />who live in privately owned rental units. Currently LHA oversees all of the following housing <br />developments: <br /> <br />· Regal Square, 255 Regal Street <br />· Hillside Square, 502-516 West South Boulder Road <br />· Acme Place, 504 LaFarge Street <br />· Lilac Place, 1301 Lincoln Avenue <br />· Lydia Morgan, 1450 Lincoln Avenue <br />· Sunnyside, 401 East Street <br /> <br />For leasing information for any of these developments, please call 720.564.2284. <br /> <br />Louisville Housing Authority Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor to five-year terms. <br />Regular meetings are held at 8:00 AM on the last Tuesday of every month.
