RESOLUTION NO. 8 <br />SERIES 2021 <br />A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING A <br />PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION GRANT FOR THE LESLIE HOUSE LOCATED <br />AT 501 JEFFERSON AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Historic Preservation <br />Commission (HPC) an application requesting a preservation and restoration grant for the <br />Leslie House, a historic residential structure located at 501 Jefferson Avenue, on property <br />legally described as Lots 15-17, Block 3, Acme Place, Town of Louisville, City of Louisville, <br />State of Colorado; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and the HPC have reviewed the application and found it to <br />be in compliance with Section 3.20.605.D and Section 15.36.120 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the HPC has held a properly noticed public hearing on the preservation <br />and restoration grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration work being requested for the Leslie House <br />includes making repairs to the existing structure; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission finds these proposed <br />improvements will assist in the preservation of the Leslie House, which is to be landmarked <br />by the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission recommends the City Council <br />approve the proposed Preservation and Restoration Grant application for <br />the Leslie House, in the amount of $7,436. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 2021. <br />Lynda Haley, Chairperson <br />1 <br />
