City Council Present: Mayor Ashley Stolzmann Mayor Pro Tern Dennis Maloney Councilmember Kyle Brown Councilmember J. Caleb Dickinson Councilmember Deb Fahey Councilmember Chris Leh Councilmember Maxine Most Staff Present: Jeff Durbin, City Manager Meredyth Muth, City Clerk City Manager Durbin gave the following update: • Black History Month starts today and we have activities planned across various City departments. • We have restarted the PROST director recruitment process. • Parks is continuing the evaluation of hazards and trail issues. You can expect to see new closures of trails for a short periods of time. The Davidson Mesa resurfacing project that was put on hold briefly is now starting up again and will require some closures. • Staff is making it a priority to get the dog off leash area reopened as soon as possible. • Coal Creek Trail near the US 36 underpass will be closed for about a week for the removal of hazard trees. • Harper Lake Trailhead continues to be closed due to the road closures, the lake trail is open. • Congressman Neguse was in town yesterday; he met with a couple of business owners to learn about the challenges they are facing. • Demolition permits for those opting out of the County process are beginning to be released. We are working in coordination with other jurisdictions to standardize the requirements; one significant challenge is soil testing. • Public Works is in the final stages of getting water back on to the last few homes pending testing results.
