City Council Present: Mayor Ashley Stolzmann Mayor Pro Tern Dennis Maloney Councilmember Kyle Brown Councilmember J. Caleb Dickinson Councilmember Deb Fahey Councilmember Chris Leh Councilmember Maxine Most Staff Present: Jeff Durbin, City Manager Meredyth Muth, City Clerk City Manager Durbin gave an update on fire recovery. FEMA has approved public assistance for categories C-G which includes infrastructure repair and replacement. Today FEMA approved the Personal Property Debris Removal application to cover for 75% of the cost of the debris removal. This approval does not include our request to help cover the costs of foundation removal which is being considered as part of an economic adversity argument. Staff has submitted additional info on that request. Boulder County Commissioners is having a meeting this afternoon at 3 pm to review a recommendation the debris removal contract. This recommendation is a part of the formal bidding process and review of the applications by staff. If agreed to today it will be followed by a 10-day period in which complaints will be taken and for staff can negotiate the details of the the contract. Councilmember Leh asked if waiting to hear about funding for foundation removal could hold up the removal timeline. City Manager Durbin stated we don't believe it will but we will continue to press them on this decision. Next steps will include an intergovernmental agreement with Boulder County and Superior on how the details of contract payments, insurance, etc. for the contract.
