Elected Board Roles &Responsibilities <br />Chair: <br />• Presides at board meetings <br />• Creates a purposeful agenda in collaboration with board members and City Liaison <br />• Appoints members to subcommittees <br />• Serves as contact for board issues <br />• Sets goals and objectives with the board and ensures they are met <br />• Holds members accountable for attending meetings <br />Vice Chair: <br />• Assumes Chair responsibilities when Chair is not available <br />• Assists Chair in the execution of their duties <br />Secretary: <br />• Prepares official minutes of the meeting <br />• Records motions, discussions, votes, and decisions <br />• Records attendance <br />• Sends previous month's minutes to Chair and City Liaison by the Monday prior to the monthly <br />scheduled meeting <br />Treasurer: <br />• Works with City Liaison to maintain working budget numbers <br />• Collects reported spending from Lead Volunteer for scheduled LCC events <br />• Reports budget expenses and balances to board <br />Arts Grants Chair <br />• Records grant award decisions <br />• Collects information and reports from board members and grant awardees regarding receipt <br />and implementation of grant programs <br />• Collects grant awardee evaluation following completion of grant program (and follows up if <br />evaluation has not been completed) <br />• Works with City Liaison regarding scheduling of grant programs <br />• Works with City Liaison regarding promotion and marketing of grant programs <br />
