LCloty0f <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO - SINCE 1878 <br />Youth Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 2nd, 2021 <br />6:30-7:30 PM <br />Virtual Meeting <br />I. Call to Order — Chairperson Kaelan Norgard called the meeting to order at <br />6:35 PM. <br />II. Roll Call — Jocelyn, Sena, Lily, and Sebi were absent from the meeting. <br />III. Approval of Agenda — The agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes — The minutes from the December 2nd, 2021 <br />meeting were approved as written <br />V. Public Comments — The YAB received an email notifying the YAB about a <br />fundraiser for an Anti -Racism Justice Mural in downtown Louisville. A myriad of <br />businesses are donating a percentage of their sales on the morning of <br />Wednesday, December 8th towards the mural. Businesses include, Bittersweet, <br />Moxy <br />VI. YAB EDI-Focused Project — The YAB brought up the idea of holidays <br />centered around minorities and other groups. Monthly QR Codes to inform with a <br />proposed 60% Louisville + 40% general focus. These QR codes would be placed <br />in public areas such as public libraries. Brynn thought of using art and stories to <br />promote/draw attention to the QR codes; specifically in coordination with the <br />holiday's group. For youth involvement, Chelsea proposed having them turn in <br />their own art. Both a contest and a slideshow exhibit were brought up with the <br />latter being chosen. Upload slideshow online after a month? <br />VII. Diversity Month — The YAB brainstormed for April / Diversity Month and the <br />flyer that would go along with it. <br />Vill. Discussion Items for Next Meeting — QR Codes, Advertising (Libraries? <br />Recreation Center? Schools?)
